Is pricing available before service?

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, etransfer, visa and master card. Invoices will be sent to the client to pay online when we complete the job. If you prefer e-transfer please let us know and we can provide you the correct information.

Do I need to be present for an inspection?

Depending on the inspection, you do not necessarily need to be present. If we have keys and access to the vehicle, our technicians can safely complete the inspection.

Is any vehicle prep needed before a repair or inspection?

Yes, the vehicle needs to be accessible easily by our technicians, please ensure nothing is preventing mechanics from being able to work around the vehicle.

INSPECTION FAQS:

How long does a typical mobile inspection take?

Most mobile inspections take 30–60 minutes depending on the vehicle type and inspection level, though more advanced checks may take longer.

Will I receive a written or digital inspection report?

Insurance inspections are typically provided as written reports. Pre-purchase inspections and peace-of-mind inspections are delivered as digital reports sent via email.

Digital reports generally include photos, detailed notes, and a summary of the inspector’s findings to help you clearly understand the condition of the vehicle.

How thorough are your inspections?

Our journeyman mechanics perform comprehensive checks of key systems (engine, brakes, tires, fluids, safety equipment, steering inspection etc.) and provide a detailed assessment so you know the condition of the vehicle.

Report Features:
We perform a 130 point inspection depending on vehicle type and what they are equipped with. We send over the completed checklist with notes on any issues we find. For digital reports we will provide a photo of any major issues.

Can you do an inspection before I buy a used vehicle?

Yes, our Pre-Purchase Inspection helps identify hidden issues before you commit to the purchase, giving you confidence in your decision.

Are your inspections valid for insurance purposes?

Yes, our Insurance Inspections meet insurance requirements and include the documentation needed to support your insurance coverage. We will provide a hard copy for you to submit to your insurance provider.

Do you inspect all types of vehicles?

Services typically include most cars, trucks, vans and SUVS.

Does pricing change based on vehicle type?

Typically pricing does not change depending on vehicle type. However, if it is a one-tonne truck or larger, an additional charge may be applied.

Repair servicces typically include most cars, trucks, vans and SUVS.  

If a technician recommends a repair, is it done the same day?

Depending on the repair and part availability, we can usually perform repairs the same day. Contact us for more information! 

Are there any repairs you do not perform?

We do not perform any major engine or transmission repairs.

Do you provide warranties on parts?

Yes, we provide a warranty on any parts provided by Vehicle Inspection Services. Most parts typically have a one-year warranty. If you have an issue with any parts provided please contact us to start the warranty process. 

Can I provide my own parts for a repair?

Yes, you can provide your own parts for  repair, however, we do not provide a warranty on your parts.
